TOUR 1: PASSIONSWEGE IN BRILLANTENGRUND AND GOING OUT FOR A LIMO AFTER WORK
From leather, yarn, and silver to urban and rural space, from traditional craft companies to new life designs: That’s the thematic arc this tour to stations of the Passionswege and Stadtarbeit formats will follow through the Focus District Neubau. Currently, work represents an important pillar of human identity. But what will happen when it’s no longer necessary for us to work? When robots do what we were paid for in the past? In an inquisitive exploration of local production companies, the tour shines a light on aspects of work as a value-creation process, as a form of creative individual expression. On the way through Vienna’s 7th district, individual life designs and the field of tension between public space and private use can be explored from a limousine. A guided tour that will provide a look at how firmly established processes and forms can be enriched through openness to new (design) perspectives.
